Job Description And Duties CARB's Air Quality Planning and Science Division (AQPSD) is seeking a highly motivated individual to join the Consumer Products Implementation Section. The successful candidate will work as part of an excellent team to develop and implement the Consumer Products Regulation. Main tasks include updating VOC emission inventory using surveys and market data to provide the basis for consumer product VOC standards and reactivity limits; conducting technical and policy analysis to determine the feasibility, cost, environmental and equity impacts of consumer product regulations, and to identify research and policy needs to improve air quality and public health; developing and implementing innovative strategies (such as Innovative Product Exemptions) to address consumer product VOC and GHG emissions while incentivizing companies to innovate their products; implementing existing regulations, including product determinations, certifications, alternative control plans, and fee programs. The staff person will also lead and participate in public workshops, board hearings, and consultation meetings with affected industry, trade associations, environmental groups, researchers, air districts, sister agencies, and other consumer product stakeholders.
