Job Description The Account Executive (AE) plays a critical role in driving revenue growth by developing new client relationships and delivering customized staffing solutions. This is a high-impact, client-facing role where you will be responsible for identifying business opportunities, managing the sales cycle, and partnering closely with internal recruiting teams to fulfill client needs.
Day-to-day, you’ll be prospecting new clients, running discovery calls, and presenting tailored workforce solutions across industries such as IT, Professional Services, Skilled Trades, or Federal Services. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, competitive environment and is motivated by performance, commission, and long-term growth.
This position offers a unique opportunity for experienced sales professionals to transition smoothly, including a
commission lock period (6 months)
to ensure income stability while ramping up your book of business.
Duties and Responsibilities
Build and maintain strong client relationships across target industries
Prospect and generate new business through cold outreach, networking, and referrals
Own the full sales cycle from initial outreach to closing deals (level-dependent)
Conduct client meetings to understand hiring needs and present solutions
Partner with recruiting teams to deliver qualified candidates and successful placements
Manage pipeline activity and client interactions within CRM/ATS systems
Negotiate contracts, rates, and service agreements
Coordinate onboarding logistics including compliance, documentation, and start details
Monitor market trends and identify new business opportunities
Provide ongoing account management and client support
(Aligned with AE Levels I–III progression and expectations)
Required Experience / Skills
3+ years of experience in staffing sales, business development, or agency recruiting (level-dependent)
Proven ability to generate new business and manage client relationships
Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
Experience working with CRM/ATS platforms
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment
Strong time management and organizational skills
Comfortable with cold outreach and building pipelines
Nice-to-Haves
Experience selling into IT, Professional Services, Skilled Trades, or Federal sectors
Existing book of business or client relationships
Experience in a commission-driven sales environment
Familiarity with staffing industry KPIs and metrics
Entrepreneurial mindset with a desire to grow into leadership
Education
Bachelor’s Degree preferred, or equivalent professional experience
