Job Summary The Senior Catering Sales Manager leads a high‑volume catering operation, generating $1.5M to $1.8M in annual revenue. This role drives proactive sales growth, manages client relationships, and oversees all internal and external catering events from concept through execution. Responsibilities include event production and design, menu development, financial performance, and operational oversight. The position ensures events are delivered on time, on budget, and to the highest service standards while balancing creativity with financial accountability. Remote work flexibility is required, and the schedule includes nights and weekends based on event needs.

Key Responsibilities

Drive catering sales through prospecting, client development, and achievement of revenue goals with a proactive growth strategy, not an order‑taking approach.

Develop proposals, contracts, banquet event orders, and manage rental agreements.

Partner with culinary teams on menu design and pricing.

Oversee preparation, transportation, setup, execution, and breakdown of events.

Manage labor and food cost controls and maintain P&L accountability.

Prepare and monitor budgets, forecasts, financial reports, and receivables.

Hire, train, coach, and develop managers and team members.

Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and vendors.

Ensure compliance with HACCP, safety, and sanitation standards.

Support marketing initiatives and special projects as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

Three to five years of hospitality experience, including at least two years of high‑volume event and catering sales experience.

Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals.

Experience working with vendors and leading event production and design.

Strong understanding of P&L statements and financial reporting.

Supervisory, scheduling, training, and coaching skills.

Ability to assess client needs and deliver exceptional service.

Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.

Knowledge of A/V setup and breakdown.

Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.

Excellent communication, leadership, organizational, and client service skills.
