The Opportunity: As part of its continued growth strategy, our client is seeking to add a senior Managing Director with demonstrable origination capability. The firm is open to a range of sector specializations and is particularly interested in senior professionals with established client relationships and a proven ability to independently source and lead transactions. This opportunity is well suited to entrepreneurial originators seeking greater autonomy, direct economics, and the ability to build or expand a coverage vertical within a focused independent platform. Headquartered in New York, the firm is open to flexible or remote arrangements for the right candidate. Key Responsibilities: Lead sector coverage efforts and originate new business Develop and maintain senior-level client and sponsor relationships Source, execute, and close M&A and capital advisory transactions Provide strategic advisory across growth, monetization, and capital initiatives Collaborate closely with partners and execution teams Mentor and support junior professionals involved in transactions Key Requirements: 10+ years of investment banking experience in M&A and/or capital advisory Clear track record of transaction origination and revenue generation Established client relationships within a defined sector vertical Experience leading transactions from pitch through closing Entrepreneurial mindset with strong commercial judgment Excellent communication and relationship-building skills Ability to operate effectively within a performance-driven environment FINRA licenses (or willingness to obtain if required)
