
Managing Director Investment Banking

Our client is a fast-growing boutique investment bank that focuses on the middle market and is continuing to expand its coverage. We are looking for Technology-focused Managing Directors who can originate and executive M&A and private capital markets transactions.
Successful candidates will be able to leverage the firm’s suite of capabilities, including M&A advisory, debt capital markets advisory, and financial sponsor coverage.
The firm has strong firm momentum and a highly collaborative culture. There is an infrastructure to leverage but also significant whitespace and growth potential.
REQUIREMENTS
10+ years of experience within Technology investment banking.
Must have proven success in new business development – must be commercial and ambitious with a track record of originating and executing M&A deals within their sector.
Must have Technology sector expertise, ideally with subsector(s) specialization.
Experience developing relationships with company executives, including CEOs, CFOs and Heads of M&A, and Financial Sponsors.
Candidates who are very driven and have a good commercial instinct are the best fit; prospect identification and relationship development is a key skill set.
Must be a true team player.
High energy, focus and client presence are imperative.
Hard charging with willingness to "run through walls" for clients.
Management skills in supervising and training mid-level and junior staff.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills – able to interact effectively with both clients and internal management.
Location: Ideally based in SF Bay Area, but potential flexibility within U.S.
