Income Tax Senior
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Income Tax Senior to join our tax team. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting income tax compliance and reporting, providing technical tax advice, and supporting various tax projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in income tax compliance, with a focus on corporate income tax and US GAAP reporting. You'll partner with internal teams and external advisors to ensure compliance, optimize our tax position, and reduce risk through strategic tax planning, process improvements, and technology enablement. Responsibilities of the Income Tax Senior include, but are not limited to: Support the Income Tax Supervisor with the oversee and management of the preparation and timely filing of corporate income tax returns (Form 1120, 5471, etc.) for various jurisdictions. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and international income tax regulations, including tax provisions, estimated payments, and extensions. Assist and review the calculation of tax provisions (ASC 740) and support quarterly and annual tax reporting for both book and tax purposes. Perform tax research on various income tax issues, including tax law changes, tax credits, deductions, and accounting for income taxes. Support the income tax supervisor on tax planning opportunities to optimize the company's tax position, including but not limited to tax-efficient structures, intercompany transactions, and tax credits. Coordinate and respond to inquiries from federal and state tax authorities during audits. Assist in preparing and reviewing tax filings, ensuring the accuracy of tax return positions, and gathering support for audit defense. Prepare and review income tax provision calculations, including deferred tax assets and liabilities, uncertain tax positions (UTPs), and related reconciliations. Assist with implementing ASC 740 reporting for quarterly and annual financial statements. Work with internal teams, including Accounting, Finance, and Legal, to ensure seamless integration of income tax requirements into business operations. Support internal teams in tax-related matters, including providing advice on the tax impact of business decisions, corporate transactions, and new initiatives. Stay up to date on income tax laws and regulations, identifying potential impacts on the company's tax compliance and reporting. Identify opportunities for improving the efficiency and effectiveness of income tax processes, including automation of tax compliance and reporting tasks. Help implement tax systems and tools to streamline tax functions and improve reporting accuracy. Qualifications of the Income Tax Senior include, but are not limited to: 25 years of experience in corporate income tax compliance, U.S. GAAP reporting, and tax-related projects Strong technical knowledge of corporate income tax Demonstrated ability to reduce tax risk through strategic planning, process improvements, and technology enablement Experience researching income tax matters, including tax law changes, credits, deductions, and accounting for income taxes Knowledge of tax-efficient structures, intercompany transactions, and available tax credits Experience supporting internal and external tax audits Strong understanding of the tax implications of business decisions, corporate transactions, and new initiatives Proven ability to identify and implement opportunities to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of income tax processes, including automation of compliance and reporting Experience implementing and optimizing tax systems and tools Physical Demand: N/A Working Conditions: Office environment Training/Certifications: N/A Shift: Monday Friday, 8:00AM - 5:00PM Travel: N/A Education: Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, finance, or related field Minimum Required Salary and benefits commensurate with experience.
