A mission-driven higher education institution in Boston is seeking a
Senior Director of Employee Experience
to lead all human resources functions for the organization. This role will serve as the primary HR leader and partner closely with executive leadership to support recruitment, employee relations, performance management, compensation, benefits, and HR compliance.
This position is ideal for an experienced HR professional who enjoys working in a collaborative environment and playing a key role in shaping the employee experience across an organization.
Key Responsibilities Lead all HR functions including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, and compliance Serve as a strategic HR partner to executive leadership, including the President and CFO Oversee compensation and benefits administration and support employee benefits programs Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment regulations Manage employee performance processes and support leadership with coaching and guidance Support employee engagement initiatives and help foster a positive workplace culture Maintain HR systems and employee records while ensuring accuracy and confidentiality Partner with leadership on HR policies, procedures, and organizational initiatives Qualifications 5+ years of human resources experience Experience working in nonprofit or higher education environments preferred Experience with Paylocity or similar HRIS systems preferred Strong knowledge of employment law, HR best practices, and compliance requirements Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently while partnering closely with senior leadership
