LHH is looking for a
Legal Assistant – Personal Injury (Plaintiff) for a law firm in Chicago. This will potentially be hybrid once settled into the role. Key Responsibilities Manage and maintain a complex caseload as the primary support to the assigned attorney Track and manage multiple court-mandated deadlines and cutoff dates Organize, prepare, and retrieve case files and documents Act as a liaison between clients and attorneys, ensuring a positive and supportive client experience Electronically file motions, orders, and other court documents Schedule depositions, court appearances, client meetings, mediations, and calls Draft correspondence, court instructions, and communications with opposing counsel Docket orders and track important case-related dates Negotiate medical bills and subrogation liens on behalf of clients Handle all incoming and outgoing checks and documentation Identify and escalate urgent issues to the attorney in a timely manner Perform other tasks as assigned by the attorney or leadership team Required Qualifications Minimum 2 years
of experience as a Legal Assistant or Case Manager Minimum 2 years
of experience in
personal injury law Plaintiff experience Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities Strong written and verbal communication skills High attention to detail and deadline awareness Exceptional client service and interpersonal skills Spanish language proficiency is a
plus , but not required Salary Range:
$50,000 – $62,000 (based on experience) Medical Insurance:
100% of individual employee premium paid by the firm Dental, Vision, and Gift Life Insurance 401(k) & Profit Sharing Paid Time Off (including birthday & holidays) 1-hour paid lunch Convenient Loop location near public transportation, shopping, and parks Hybrid work option
