
Purchasing/Inventory Specialist

Job Summary
The Purchasing/Inventory Specialist position is responsible for supplying the departments with medical supplies. This includes receiving, stocking the storeroom and departments, adding and removing items from inventories, inputting accurate product information in the central supply database, and analyzing par levels on a routine basis.

Compensation The hourly wage range for this position is $17.84—$25.18. This range reflects the base salary for this position. The specific compensation will be determined based on experience, education and internal equity considerations.
Key Accountabilities
Monitors department storerooms and CSR, maintaining PAR levels and restocking using data.
Receives daily freight deliveries and delivers them to their location.
Scans or uses inventory list to pull and deliver needed items for their department daily.
Enters all movement of product in the Supply Chain information system daily.
Ensures departments have adequate supplies by communicating and problem‑solving with end users regarding their products, orders and changes in supply.
Manages back orders and substitutions.
Actively searches for contract pricing and vendors, assists departments with product standardization.
Manages all shipping processes and receives shipments accurately.
Qualifications
High school Diploma/GED
Ability to effectively multitask, prioritize and stay organized
One year or more of supply chain or warehousing experience, preferred
Schedule
80 hours per two‑week pay period
6:30 am–3:00 pm
Weekends as needed
Flexibility to adjust or reduce hours based on departmental needs
Availability to work holidays that fall on a weekday
