Continuous Improvement Manager | East Lansing, MI
Salary Range: $92,000 - $139,000 depending on experience
Key Responsibilities
Lead and facilitate the implementation of Lean, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement methodologies across manufacturing operations.
Identify and analyze operational inefficiencies, waste, and bottlenecks to pinpoint improvement opportunities.
Develop, implement, and monitor continuous improvement projects to achieve measurable results in safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
Train, coach, and mentor employees at all levels on continuous improvement tools, principles, and problem-solving techniques.
Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of improvement initiatives and report progress to management.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement, employee engagement, and problem-solving throughout the organization.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive process optimization and ensure the sustainability of implemented improvements.
Recommended Qualifications
Proven experience leading continuous improvement initiatives within a manufacturing environment.
Certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt (or Green Belt with equivalent practical experience).
Demonstrated expertise in Lean methodologies (e.g., Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping, 5S, Standard Work).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach to process optimization.
Excellent project management and change management capabilities, with a track record of successful project delivery.
Bonus Qualifications
Experience implementing Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) principles.
Certification in Change Management (e.g., Prosci).
Proficiency with data visualization tools like Power BI or Tableau.
Applied knowledge of Theory of Constraints (TOC).
Experience with process simulation software.
