The Team: The S&P Global Ratings Commercial Team is responsible for optimizing relationships and commercial outcomes with a broad set of clients in the U.S. We are a collaborative team that develops solutions to help our clients overcome complex business challenges. The Role: As a Sales & Relationship Manager within the Structured Finance team at SPGR, the team member will be responsible for managing and growing relationships with capital markets clients, driving revenue across assigned accounts, and contributing to broader team and account objectives through disciplined execution, market insight, and sound judgment. This role requires a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of debt capital markets, exceptional sales skills, and the ability to build and grow strong relationships with key issuer clients and intermediaries.

Responsibilities:
Lead issuer relationships in the CMBS, RMBS, and ABS sectors, delivering consistent, high‑quality client service while building trusted adviser relationships.
Drive revenue growth and retention by clearly articulating S&P Global Ratings’ value proposition and positioning Ratings products to meet client needs through strategic account planning and market insight.
Conduct commercial negotiations with structured finance clients while demonstrating sound business judgment.
Own conference outreach and meeting scheduling with issuers and bank intermediaries.
Track and manage opportunities within customer relationship management (CRM) software, ensuring accurate pipeline data and timely follow‑up while maintaining high standards of operational excellence.
Identify cross‑sell opportunities through active account coverage and understanding client needs by leveraging deep market knowledge and analytical perspective.
Provide detailed, insightful feedback on assigned sectors for S&P executives and general ad‑hoc reports.
Manage incoming engagements, client requests and questions, reports, travel, and conference/meeting schedules in a timely manner.
Operate in strict adherence to regulatory, compliance, and commercial separation requirements.
All employees are required to work from the office a minimum of 2 days per week.
Compensation and Benefits: The anticipated base salary range for this position is $102,387 to $175,000. The final base salary will depend on geographic location, experience level, skill set, training, licenses, and certifications.

What We’re Looking For: Basic Required Qualifications:
8+ years of relevant experience in sales, relationship management, or client service within a financial services environment.
Deep understanding of capital markets, corporate finance, and credit fundamentals.
Works well in a fast‑paced environment with variability in day‑to‑day objectives.
Strong attention to detail and discipline around CRM usage, reporting, and internal processes.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust and credibility with clients across different organizational levels.
Master’s degree preferred (Finance, Economics, or related field).
US travel required.
