Position Overview
Customer Service Representative I – Full-time, permanent role in the Department of Customer Services, Division of Motor Vehicles. Serve as the City’s representative in the Driver License/State ID Office, providing courteous public service, processing driver licenses and state IDs, operating cash registers and office equipment, and performing clerical duties.
Current Vacancies Two (2) vacancies in Kapalama; one (1) in Kapolei.
Responsibilities
Assist customers with driver’s licenses and state IDs by checking required documents, helping complete forms, taking photos and fingerprints, administering tests, and explaining rules and procedures.
Process payments and handle cashiering.
Prepare and send official notices.
Provide front desk and phone support.
Compile data and prepare reports.
Enter and update records accurately.
Perform other related duties as required.
Special Work Requirements
Work schedule: 7:45 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
May float to various driver licensing centers.
Must pass criminal background check, fingerprinting, Security Awareness Training and Fraudulent Document Detection & Remediation Training.

Perform basic math calculations and handle money accurately.
Write and type clearly using correct spelling, grammar, and punctuation.
Explain rules and procedures in a clear and easy-to-understand way.
Listen carefully to customers, remain patient, and resolve issues effectively.
Accurately enter, retrieve, and maintain data using computer systems.
License Requirement Valid Driver’s License (type 3/automobile).
