SUMMARY The Portfolio Manager contributes to effective management of Amplio’s loan portfolio and the financial health of the organization by monitoring loans in the portfolio. Responsibilities include site visits, updating insurance & real‑estate taxes, analyzing and writing up servicing requests, independently handling complex servicing requests as directed. Develops and monitors routine portfolio management servicing schedules and ensures that deadlines are met. The role will report to the Chief Executive Officer and the Senior Vice President and will work (hybrid optional) from the office in Arden Hills, MN.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Monitors existing loan portfolio through the use of a variety of tools including site visits. Works not only with customers, but also with attorneys, bankers, title insurance companies, and insurance agents.
Manages and conducts routine portfolio management activities such as monitoring insurance payments, real‑estate tax payments, bank balances, and similar indicators. Engages other Amplio staff members to assist with these activities as necessary. Develops internal processes and systems to ensure these activities are conducted properly, ensures that deadlines are met and that portfolio management activities are well‑documented.
Develops and implements a portfolio management reporting system and provides regular updates to the Chief Executive Officer and Loan Officers, identifying areas of concern as appropriate. Develops and produces portfolio reports quarterly.
Maintains an integrated database of loan information, ensuring that it meets the needs of Amplio’s loan officers for up‑to‑date client information.
Responds to customer questions pertaining to loan servicing matters including loan modifications and assumptions, UCC filings, subordination, and release of collateral.
Analyzes and writes‑up servicing requests; follows up to obtain supplemental customer information pertinent to the particular request. Establishes a monitoring process to ensure that servicing requests are being acted on in a timely way.
Under the direction of the Chief Executive Officer or the Senior Loan Officer, takes the lead in various problem loan situations working toward resolution (e.g., subordinations, assumptions, release of collateral). This entails close coordination with the borrowers, banks, legal counsel, and SBA.
Corresponds with customers, banks, or other relevant parties to resolve questions regarding the status of servicing requests.
Monitors the status of late payments / site visits, liquidation and work‑outs, payoffs and satisfaction documentation, subordination requests, and technical defaults, ensuring that loan servicing meets Amplio’s high standards for completeness, timeliness and quality. Maintains a watchlist for loans in various stages and types of default.
Works with the SBA 504 Central Servicing Agent (CSA) and borrowers regarding delinquent monthly payments and pay‑off estimates.
Responsible for establishing efficient systems (similar to or by using mass mail merges) for the organization and for ensuring that loan files contain complete information on an annual basis.
Develops and maintains a thorough working knowledge of Amplio and SBA lending guidelines and regulations, for both the 504 and 7(a) loan program.
Provide cross‑training, guidance, and support to other Amplio staff as needed.
Serves as the point person for working with Amplio’s vendors on computer, loan servicing software, and phone systems.
Assists with accounts payable processing and event management, as needed.
Other duties may be assigned.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS An Associate of Arts or Bachelor of Arts degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or related field from an accredited college/university is preferred.
EXPERIENCE A minimum of 3–5 years of prior work experience, preferably in either commercial real estate or banking / accounting / finance. Knowledge of title insurance and mortgage documentation are preferred.

Must have a valid driver’s license and automobile and be able to drive to client sites, business meetings, and closings as required. May require occasional air travel to attend training sessions out‑of‑state.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS The base salary for this position is between $60,000 to $90,000 per year, based on experience. Amplio offers bonus pay; health, life, and disability insurance; 401(K) match; and paid holidays, vacation, and PTO.
