
Director of Accounting, 160K-180K

Addison Group is partnering with a large and well known publicly traded company headquartered in Dallas, TX to identify a Director of Accounting. This position will report to senior leadership and serve as a key business partner for the division. The role will oversee the month, quarter, and year end close process, manage the external audit relationship, and support financial reporting initiatives in a dynamic, growth oriented environment.
The ideal candidate will bring a strong technical foundation in US GAAP from public accounting along with a mindset focused on process improvement and operational efficiency.
This role is hybrid, and pays 160K-180K + 25% bonus.
Responsibilities
Own financial reporting, close processes, and internal controls across multiple business units.
Serve as a key finance partner to operational leadership, providing insight, oversight, and governance.
Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close, ensuring accuracy across revenue, balance sheet, and intercompany activity.
Drive process improvement and transformation initiatives focused on standardization, efficiency, and data quality.
Coordinate with external auditors to support the annual audit process.
Develop and implement process improvements to streamline consolidation and reporting workflows.
Evaluate and manage consolidation software/tools, ensuring effective usage across teams.
Qualifications
Experience in public accounting highly preferred
8-10 years of experience required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting required, Master's degree preferred
CPA required
