Position Summary We are seeking entry‑level, full‑time sales associates for our pawn store locations nationwide. A retail sales associate partners with the entire staff to deliver customer service on both the lending and retail sides of the business. The associate greets and assists customers, processes sales, loans, and other transactions, and works with a wide variety of merchandise, including jewelry, tools, electronics, firearms (in FFL locations), and more.
Responsibilities
Greets and interacts with customers to build rapport and recommend appropriate financial solutions.
Performs non‑management open/close procedures.
Maintains a clean, stocked sales floor and proper merchandise displays.
Processes sales and loan transactions in accordance with established policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Handles cash and negotiable items in accordance with established policies and procedures.
Answers incoming calls per company standards.
Communicates the legal aspects of pawn and buy transactions to customers.
Communicates effectively with coworkers and managers, displaying respect.
Partners with all employees to create a positive, memorable customer experience.
Completes assigned training.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements & Qualifications
Willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
Willing and able to perform duties for extended periods (standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, lifting).
Ability to work with firearms and obtain firearms certification.
May be asked to assist customers outside the building or retrieve products from exterior storage.
Minimum age 18 years.
High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
Strong desire to work, serve customers, and be team‑oriented.
Ability to multi‑task in a fast‑paced environment.
Basic math calculation proficiency.
Cash‑handling experience preferred.
Ability to work at multiple locations as business needs dictate.
Flexible retail schedule, including weekends and holidays.
Computer literate; able to operate POS systems and common office machines.
