Pay: $10.00 to $14.00 per hour, with commission up to 8% on transactions (average $1.48 per hour on top of base rate).

Position Summary We are seeking entry‑level, full‑time sales associates for pawn store locations nationwide. The Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate partners with the entire staff to ensure excellent customer service on both the lending and retail sides of the business. This role involves greeting, engaging, and interacting with customers to process sales, loans, and other transactions. The associate will work with a wide variety of merchandise—including jewelry, tools, electronics, firearms (in FFL locations), and more.
Responsibilities
Greets and interacts with all customers to build rapport and recommend appropriate financial solutions.
Performs non‑management open/close procedures.
Makes the sales floor clean, stocked, and well‑displayed.
Handles sales and loan transactions in accordance with established policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Manages all cash and negotiable items per established policies and procedures.
Answers incoming calls according to company standards.
Explains legal aspects of pawn and buy transactions to customers.
Communicates effectively with coworkers and managers, displaying respect and using effective communication tools.
Partners with all employees to create a positive and memorable customer experience.
Completes assigned training successfully.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements & Qualifications
Willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
Willing and able to perform duties and tasks for extended periods, including standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, and lifting.
Ability to work with firearms and obtain firearms certification.
May be asked to assist a customer on the exterior of the building or retrieve products from exterior storage areas.
Minimum age: 18 years.
High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
Strong desire to work, serve customers, and be team‑oriented.
Ability to multi‑task in a fast‑paced environment.
Proficient basic math skills.
Cash handling experience preferred.
Ability to work in multiple locations as business needs dictate.
Flexible retail schedule required, including weekends and holidays.
Computer literate and able to operate POS systems and common office machines.
Commission Plan Information The employee commission incentive plan is proprietary to FirstCash. Pawnbrokers have the potential to earn 2–8% commission based on the gross profit of their personal performance. Detailed information will be provided during the interview process.
