Description We are currently looking for the right Full Time Retail Sales Associate to join our team. Our retail sales associates can earn up to 8% on transactions, averaging an additional $2.68 per hour on top of your hourly rate.
Position Summary We are seeking entry level, full time sales associates in pawn store locations nationwide. As a Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate you partner with the staff to ensure customer service on both the lending and retail sides of the business. You will greet, engage, and process sales, loans, and other transactions with jewelry and general merchandise, including tools, electronics, firearms (in FFL locations), and more.
The full time position offers an hourly wage and commission based on productivity. Pay will vary by location, qualifications, and experience.
Responsibilities
Greets and interacts with customers to build rapport and recommend appropriate financial solutions.
Performs non-management open/close procedures.
Maintains a clean, stocked sales floor and merchandise displays.
Processes sales and loan transactions in accordance with policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Handles all cash and negotiable items in compliance with policies.
Answers incoming calls per company standards.
Communicates the legal aspects of pawn and buy transactions to customers.
Communicates effectively with coworkers and managers with respect and clarity.
Partners with all employees to create a positive, memorable customer experience.
Completes assigned training.
Performs related duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements & Qualifications
Willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
Willing and able to perform duties for extended periods (standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, lifting).
Ability to work with firearms and obtain firearms certification.
May assist customers outdoors or retrieve products from external storage.
Minimum age 18 years.
High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
Strong desire to serve customers, work with people, and be team oriented.
Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to perform basic math calculations proficiently.
Cash handling experience preferred.
Ability to work multiple locations as business needs dictate.
Ability to work a flexible retail schedule, including weekends and holidays.
Computer literate and able to operate POS systems and common office machines.
