Job Description:
Venge Vineyards is looking for an energetic, self-motivated professional with a positive attitude to join our Direct Sales team. The ideal candidate has a strong work ethic, a solution-oriented approach to customer service, and a friendly, engaging personality that shines when hosting guests. Hospitality and sales experience are essential, along with solid wine knowledge and a proven background in luxury wine sales.
Position Summary As a Direct Sales Associate, your primary focus is delivering an exceptional tasting experience. Tastings take place at the Ranch House and welcome a wide range of guests—from seasoned collectors to longtime Venge Wine Guild members. This role is all about connecting with guests, making their experience fun and engaging, and sharing the Venge story in a natural, approachable way. A genuine love of food and wine is central to our team culture. Familiarity with Napa Valley wineries, restaurants, and hotels is a must.
Key Responsibilities
Welcome guests and showcase Venge wines with enthusiasm, driving sales and building long-term brand loyalty
Create guest-focused experiences that highlight the Venge story, winemaking philosophy, and style
Foster a collaborative, team-oriented environment that supports both personal and winery sales goals
Assist with daily winery operations as needed, embracing a “no task too big or too small” mindset
Open and close the Ranch House, including daily setup and end-of-shift breakdown
Prepare for service by setting up tasting areas, buffing and polishing glassware, and ensuring everything is guest-ready
Maintain a clean, organized tasting environment by cleaning and resetting the Ranch House after each shift
Deliver exceptional customer service to support direct sales and customer retention
Handle administrative tasks such as answering phones, scheduling tastings, updating customer accounts, and managing guest requests
Fulfill carry-out and shipping orders, track shipments, and follow up with customers as needed
Core Competencies & Qualifications
Minimum of 3 years of hospitality experience; winery and luxury brand experience strongly preferred
Proven success meeting or exceeding sales goals
Experience with CRM systems (Commerce7 preferred) and TOCK
Friendly, professional demeanor with a positive, can-do attitude
Strong attention to detail, organization, and punctuality
Reliable employment history with references
Must be 21 years of age or older with a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Strong presentation and communication skills, with the ability to confidently share wine knowledge
Schedule & Availability
Full-time position, Thursday through Monday, 8:45 a.m. – 5:45 p.m.
Weekend availability required (Friday, Saturday, Sunday)

Compensation & Benefits
Competitive hourly wage plus commission on wine sales
Average annual commission earnings of $11,000–$19,000+ in addition to base pay
