Job Title: Customer Service Representative
Shift: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Pay: $17–$18 per hour, based on experience
Position Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented Customer Service Representative to support operations within an industrial manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for processing customer orders, maintaining accurate records, and serving as a key communication link between customers and internal departments including manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities
Process customer orders received via phone, email, and other channels
Enter and manage customer orders in internal systems
Maintain and update customer files, including contact and account information
Communicate with customers regarding order status, pricing, and inquiries
Coordinate with manufacturing and other departments to ensure accurate and timely order fulfillment
Address customer concerns and route issues to appropriate departments as needed
Review and verify pricing for accuracy on orders and invoices
Assist with daily and weekly reporting, including financial tracking
Manage documentation including active orders, closed orders, quotes, and related files
Support additional administrative tasks such as sample requests, tooling orders, and job transfers
Qualifications
Previous customer service experience required; manufacturing experience preferred
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to read and interpret documents and respond to customer inquiries professionally
Basic computer skills; experience with order entry systems or ERP systems is a plus
Education and Experience
Associate degree or technical training preferred, or
6 months to 1 year of related experience, or
Equivalent combination of education and experience
Work Environment
Office setting within a climate-controlled manufacturing facility
Occasional exposure to production areas
Moderate noise level
Physical Requirements
Ability to sit, stand, and move throughout the day as needed
Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds
