The HR Recruiter and Compliance Specialist plays a pivotal role in driving talent acquisition while ensuring strict adherence to all regulatory, licensing, and compliance requirements specific to the security guard services industry. This position manages the end-to-end recruitment process, conducts thorough candidate interviews, and performs compliance audits to support a skilled, compliant workforce. Key Responsibilities Recruitment and Talent Acquisition
Lead the full‑cycle recruitment for security officers, supervisors, and support staff, encompassing job postings, resume screening, candidate sourcing, and interview coordination.
Verify that all candidates satisfy state licensing, client‑specific criteria, training certifications, background checks, and eligibility standards.
Maintain precise applicant tracking systems, recruitment databases, and compliance logs.
Partner with operations and regional teams to assess staffing needs, forecast hiring demands, and optimize coverage across client sites.
Interviewing and Selection
Perform structured interviews and assessments in line with company protocols and security industry standards.
Document interview results and deliver data‑informed hiring recommendations to management.
Manage the onboarding workflow, including paperwork completion, training coordination, and licensing validations, to ensure seamless integration.
Reporting and Documentation
Develop comprehensive, metrics‑driven reports on staffing levels, recruitment performance, turnover trends, compliance status, and operational insights.
Compose clear, professional correspondence, memos, and communications for internal teams and external partners.
Organize and safeguard confidential records related to employee performance, interviews, site assignments, and compliance activities.
Deliver reports to leadership on time, in a concise and polished format.
Generate retention and turnover analyses to inform strategic HR initiatives.
Labor Law Compliance
Ensure all HR processes align with federal, state, and local regulations, including FLSA (wage and hour laws), EEOC guidelines (anti-discrimination and equal employment opportunity), state‑specific security guard licensing requirements, I‑9 employment eligibility verification, and mandatory employee notices, record‑keeping, and reporting obligations.
Facilitate internal audits and reviews to validate labor, payroll, and compliance records.
Identify and report potential compliance risks or policy violations to leadership, collaborating on corrective measures.
Stay abreast of evolving labor laws affecting recruitment, scheduling, reporting, and employee management.
Oversee compliance with meal and rest break requirements.
Qualifications and Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, Operations, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
2+ years of progressive experience in HR administration, recruitment, or office management; prior exposure to the security industry is highly desirable.
Security Industry Experience is a plus.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (e.g., Excel for reporting) and HR tools (e.g., applicant tracking systems, workforce management software).
Proven organizational acumen to juggle multiple priorities while upholding strict confidentiality.
