Job Overview Nationwide Financial is a Fortune 100 company delivering extraordinary care to individuals and businesses. This role, Licensing Representative, serves as a licensing subject matter expert and primary point of contact between the Nationwide Specialty Insurance team and NF Licensing. The position ensures accurate, compliant, and timely execution of producer appointments and terminations across multiple systems.

Key Responsibilities

Act as licensing subject matter expert for appointment and termination processes, guiding stakeholders on state regulations, internal policies, and system requirements.

Serve as primary liaison between NSI and NF Licensing, facilitating clear communication, issue resolution, and process alignment.

Ensure appointments are executed in accordance with state insurance regulations, company policies, and carrier requirements.

Accurately update licensing systems to reflect appointment status changes, terminations, reinstatements, and related record updates.

Coordinate and reconcile appointment data across systems to maintain consistency, accuracy, and audit readiness.

Communicate status updates, issues, and resolutions with NSI and other internal stakeholders.

Support periodic audits, reconciliations, and reporting related to appointments and terminations.

Maintain detailed documentation to ensure traceability and compliance with regulatory and operational standards.

Process applications, registrations, contracting, appointment renewals and cancellations, and maintenance requests consistently with approved standards.

Implement changes in insurance licensing requirements based on legal, regulatory, or policy changes.

Maintain databases and files for assigned states and distribution channels.

Respond to incoming calls and requests from internal and external customers, providing outstanding customer experience and advising on licensing requirements.

Assist in reviewing, analyzing, and interpreting licensing laws and regulations; resolve issues not in good order.

Serve as liaison between licensing and key internal/external customers to ensure timely processing of applications.

Meet quality assurance goals and business unit standards of work.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required; industry coursework preferred.

Minimum 1 year of licensing or related industry experience (licensing, registration, compliance).

Knowledge of licensing terminology and regulatory requirements.

Proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications and licensing software.

Strong oral and written communication skills.

Ability to interpret and adhere to licensing regulations.

Fingerprinting, FBI background check may be required depending on business unit.

Job Conditions

Hybrid SuccessFlex basis: 2 days in office, 3 days remote.

Eligible for overtime (non‑exempt).

Normal office environment; travel may be required.

Location: Must reside within 35 miles of Ohio or Arizona office locations.

Non‑eligible for employer-sponsored work authorization or STEM OPT Extension program.
