As a Human Resource Compensation Specialist, you will provide professional support in all areas of Human Resources with a primary focus on compensation and analytics.
You will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including day‑to‑day administration and management for the Human Resources team, processing/updating data, record keeping in the HRMS database, administration of compensation, acting as liaison between leaders during the compensation approval process, and verifying that all actions are consistent with the Bank’s policies and comply with federal, state, and local requirements.
Additionally, you are expected to assist the Human Resources leaders in compensation planning activities such as reporting, metrics, and dashboards, resolve compensation‑related problems, coordinate pre‑employment, assist with events such as associate recognition, holiday events, recruiting events, onboarding, orientation, offboarding, recognition, community activism, and generalist processes. You will also build a rapport with clients and associates and treat others with respect and consideration.
All associates are expected to maintain current knowledge and compliance with regulations related to the position, including but not limited to BSA and OFAC requirements.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources or equivalent.
2+ years of experience in a related field.
Knowledge of key HR functions such as compensation.
Desired Qualifications
PHR/SPHR certification.
4+ years of relevant job experience in human resources.
Skills and Abilities
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Creative thinking and resourcefulness.
Professional and tactful interaction with others.
Prioritization and management of multiple tasks.
Setting delivery expectations.
Interpretation of policies and procedural documents.
Interpretation of various instructions (written, oral, diagram).
