Job Purpose The Porter is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, organization, and overall appearance of the venue to ensure a comfortable and welcoming environment for guests and team members. This role plays a vital part in creating an atmosphere that reflects Drive Shack’s standards of hospitality, cleanliness, and care.
Porters are expected to work efficiently, communicate effectively, and contribute to a positive team culture built on respect, support, and professionalism.
Responsibilities
Perform housekeeping and cleaning tasks as directed by the Facilities Manager or Supervisor
Maintain cleanliness of all interior and exterior areas, including restrooms, storage areas, walkways, and common spaces
Ensure restrooms are clean, stocked, and maintained with proper supplies (toilet paper, soap, paper towels, etc.)
Support general maintenance and minor repair tasks as needed
Maintain appropriate inventory levels of cleaning supplies and equipment
Respond promptly to guest or staff requests regarding cleanliness or safety concerns
Adhere to all safety, health, and environmental policies and procedures
Monitor facility conditions and report any issues or hazards to management
Perform additional duties as assigned by management
Qualifications
Previous custodial, housekeeping, or porter experience preferred
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Familiarity with cleaning chemicals, safety procedures, and sanitation best practices
Reliable, self-motivated, and committed to maintaining high standards of cleanliness
Flexible availability including days, nights, weekends, and holidays
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Working Conditions
Active, physically demanding role requiring regular standing, walking, bending, and lifting
Exposure to varying indoor and outdoor environments, including different temperatures and weather conditions
May involve working on wet or slippery floors, handling cleaning agents, and operating basic maintenance equipment
Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds without assistance
Extended shifts and weekend or holiday hours may be required to meet operational needs
