Counter Sales
associate, you will be the "face of the retail store," assisting customers with their automotive needs. No need to be a mechanic, but a background in automotive parts is beneficial. This role is ideal whether you're considering a career path in automotive retail, seeking full/part-time work, or exploring other opportunities within our company.
Responsibilities
Assist retail and wholesale customers with auto parts questions in person and over the phone.
Utilize your parts knowledge to support team members and customers.
Deliver outstanding customer service and create a positive shopping experience.
Engage customers with energy and focus in a fast-paced environment.
Operate technology systems including computers, cash registers, and catalogs.
Ideal Candidate
Enjoy helping customers with auto parts and services.
Have experience in automotive or have repaired/tinkered with vehicles.
Willing to learn automotive parts if new to the industry.
Aim to grow and develop within the company.
Requirements
Valid Driver’s License.
Experience in a parts store or automotive industry, or willingness to learn.
High School Diploma or GED; technical/trade courses are a plus.
Excellent communication skills.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced retail setting.
Strong listening skills and empathy for customers.
Preferred Skills
Background or passion for automotive, heavy equipment, marine, or dealership industries.
Experience with inventory management or catalog systems.
Customer-centric attitude.
ASE Certifications are a plus but not required.
