Position Overview
$14.00 to $15.00 per hour with an easily achievable commission structure that pays you for every transaction you process.

Position Summary We are seeking entry‑level, full‑time sales associates in our pawn store locations nationwide. The Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate partners with the entire store staff to ensure customer service on both the lending and retail sides of the business. You will greet, engage, and interact with customers in a positive and professional manner to process sales, loans, and other transactions. You will assist with a wide variety of merchandise, including jewelry, tools, electronics, firearms (in FFL locations), and more. The position offers an hourly wage plus commission based on productivity; total pay will vary by location, qualifications, and experience.
Responsibilities
Greet and interact with all customers to develop a rapport and recommend appropriate financial solutions.
Perform non‑management open/close procedures.
Keep the sales floor clean, stocked, and properly display merchandise.
Execute sales and loan transactions in accordance with established policies, procedures, practices, and regulatory requirements.
Handle all cash and negotiable items in accordance with policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Answer incoming calls per company standards.
Effectively communicate to customers the legal aspects of pawn and buy transactions.
Communicate effectively with coworkers and managers, displaying respect and using effective communication tools.
Partner with all employees to create a positive and memorable customer experience.
Successfully complete assigned training.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements & Qualifications
Willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
Willing and able to perform duties for extended periods of time, including standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, and lifting.
Ability to work with firearms and obtain firearms certification if required.
May be asked to assist customers on the exterior of the building or retrieve products from exterior storage locations.
Minimum age 18 years.
High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
Strong desire to work, serve customers, and be team‑oriented.
Ability to multi‑task in a fast‑paced environment.
Proficiency with basic math calculations.
Cash handling experience is preferred.
Ability to work at multiple locations and on a flexible retail schedule, including weekends and holidays.
Computer literate and able to operate Point‑of‑Sale (POS) systems and common office machines.
Commission Plan Information The employee commission incentive plan is proprietary to FirstCash. Pawnbrokers have the potential to earn 2‑8 % commission, based on the gross profit of their personal performance. Additional details regarding the commission incentive plan will be provided during the interview process.
