We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Motorcycle Parts Counterperson to join our team. In this role, you will sell parts to customers through various channels, including over the counter, through the shop, and on the phone. The ideal candidate will possess excellent customer service skills, a solid understanding of automotive parts, and a proven ability to manage multiple sales channels effectively.

Compensation and Benefits

Monthly salary: $1,500 plus 10% commission. Average monthly income $3,000‑$5,500.

Paid Time Off (PTO): Accrued 4 hours per pay period, totaling approximately 96 hours in the first year.

Comprehensive benefits: Health, dental, vision, Health Savings Account, Flexible Spending Account, life insurance, short‑ and long‑term disability, and a 401(k) plan. Benefits begin the first month after 60 days of employment.

Paid holidays: At least five paid holidays per year, subject to eligibility and completion of the introductory period.

Responsibilities

Assist all customers in selecting required parts in a friendly, professional, and efficient manner.

Inform customers of companion part requirements, specials, and ensure exposure to the full product line.

Answer phone calls, providing price quotes and other information.

Pull and fill orders from stock.

Notify the parts manager of out‑of‑stock parts or shop materials that need immediate attention.

Locate out‑of‑stock parts from outside sources and submit an emergency order if necessary.

Notify the service advisor and the customer when special‑ordered parts have been received.

Follow up on back‑ordered parts.

Ensure all internal requests for parts are billed on the service repair order.

Keep front and rear counter areas clean and uncluttered.

Participate in all available training programs.

Stay current on new products and product updates.

Qualifications

Excellent communication skills.

Ability to prioritize tasks.

Ability to multi‑task.

Physical ability to use computer hardware/software.
