Position Summary The Customer Account Representative (CAR) serves as the primary point of contact for customers, delivering high-quality service and support. This role manages customer inquiries, processes orders, prepares quotations, and collaborates with internal teams to ensure accurate demand forecasting and smooth operations.
Key Responsibilities Process and enter purchase orders into ERP systems Prepare and deliver customer quotations and documentation Respond to customer inquiries via email and phone Act as the main contact for customers, buyers, and supply chain teams Coordinate customer meetings and site visits Track customer scorecards and performance metrics Collaborate with Finance, Procurement, Planning, and Manufacturing for costing and order accuracy Utilize SAP and CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce) to manage orders and workflows Monitor customer portals for pricing, lead times, and contract compliance Resolve customer issues related to delivery, warranty, or order discrepancies Support forecasting and demand planning activities
Qualifications Bachelor’s degree
or
1–2+ years of relevant customer service experience Experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred) and CRM tools (Salesforce) Strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) Excellent communication, organizational, and multitasking abilities Detail-oriented with a strong customer service mindset
