Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects, including labor, materials, and equipment. Analyze project specifications, blueprints, and other documentation to determine project requirements. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and architects to ensure accurate project budgets. Source and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotes to ensure cost-effectiveness. Monitor and update project cost estimates as required throughout the project lifecycle. Maintain organized records of all estimates, contracts, and related documentation. Assist in value engineering efforts to optimize project costs without compromising quality. Provide insights and recommendations for cost-saving opportunities and project efficiency improvements. A successful Construction Estimator should have: A strong understanding of construction cost estimation processes and principles. Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, plans, and specifications. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Effective communication and collaboration abilities.
