Schedule: Shift: 8hrs Assignment Details: Contract Weeks: 14, Guaranteed Hours: 40 Requirements: Current state license to practice Physical Therapy Proof of current CPR certification Current driver's license Must have reliable transportation and insurance 2 years experience as a Physical Therapy Assistant Graduate of an accredited school of physical therapy assistant with an Associate Degree in Physical Therapy Roles & Responsibilities: Administers the physical therapy treatment plan as developed by the Physical Therapist. Administers non-complex active and passive manual therapeutic exercises, therapeutic massage, traction, heat, light, cold, water, and electrical modalities to patients. Accurately documents clients' status and submits clinical paperwork timely. Attends educational meetings and contributes to department in-services. Notifies supervisor of equipment failures, supply shortages, and changes in staff or clients. Schedules clients and performs varied office tasks. Applies infection control and universal precautions in patient care activities. Promotes compliance with all fiscal intermediaries and/or third party payors through education and assistance.
