Schedule: 8 hours Assignment Details: Contract Length: 14 weeks Guaranteed Hours: 40 Requirements: Current state license to practice as a Physical Therapy Assistant Proof of current CPR certification Current driver's license Reliable transportation and insurance 2 years experience as a Physical Therapy Assistant Graduate of an accredited school of physical therapy assistant with an Associate Degree in Physical Therapy Roles & Responsibilities: Administer the physical therapy treatment plan as developed by the Physical Therapist. Provide non-complex active and passive manual therapeutic exercises, therapeutic massage, and various modalities to patients. Accurately document clients' status and submit clinical paperwork on time. Attend educational meetings and participate in department in-services. Notify the Physical Therapist or supervisor of any equipment failures or changes in client needs. Schedule clients and perform various office tasks. Ensure adherence to infection control and universal precautions. Accept clinical assignments consistent with education and competence. Promote compliance with fiscal intermediaries and assist with necessary education. Perform other related duties as assigned. Compliance / Notes: Maintains confidentiality and follows all healthcare regulations.
