Position Duties
Had been a paid member of staff of the cohort for at least one term
Had prior attendance and participation in OMN Training Camp
Must be academically enrolled in a high school, community college, or university and pursuing a program or course of study
Must meet Academic Standing Requirements; students on academic suspension are not eligible for employment
Must meet the applicable minimal enrollment standard
High School student: Regularly enrolled in a high school or participating in a home‑schooling program
Undergraduate and post‑baccalaureate student: 6 credit hours per term
Undergraduate international student: 12 credit hours per term*
Graduate student officially admitted to Graduate School: 5 credit hours per term
Graduate international student officially admitted to Graduate School: 9 credit hours per term*
Additional Required Qualifications
Is knowledgeable in live on‑air radio operations, including equipment in DJ booth
Is knowledgeable of FCC rules and requirements
Is knowledgeable of the SPJ Code of Ethics
Is knowledgeable of Spotify, Soundcloud, and other online streaming services
Is a strong writer, communicator and comfortable with public speaking
Is organized and reliable
Is experienced giving and receiving feedback
Is capable of leading and coaching others to be their best
Able to remain professional and calm when working with difficult individuals and situations
Is knowledgeable and experienced in building and maintaining relationships with stakeholders and partners
