Overview

Designer role within Target’s Owned Brand Management & Product Design, supporting Target-owned brands and categories with product design strategy and merchant objectives. You will work with assigned category, brand, business or guest segment, manage your process and calendar, and collaborate with partners to ensure alignment with merchant line plans, assortment strategies, price points and creative direction. There is a pay range listed: $56,400.00 - $101,500.00. Pay is based on factors including position, labor markets, education, work experience and certifications. Support and be responsible for Owned Brand product brands and/or categories that achieve overall product design strategy and merchant objectives. Work under the direction of Design leadership with an assigned category, brand, business or guest segment; manage your own process and calendar. Maintain a diligent workload, ensuring timely communication with internal and external partners. Support and drive concepts throughout development, including research, materials/finishes selection, and creation of silhouettes/form language. Translate ideas using CAD/hand sketches; prepare professional presentation boards with illustrations, CAD artwork, fabrication and material samples. Drive product designs to maintain creative direction, merchant line plans, assortment strategies, and price points; build brand cohesion across the division. Collaborate with technical designers/engineers and sourcing partners to identify, troubleshoot and resolve product issues. Qualifications

Four-year degree in Fashion Design 3+ years of relevant experience in knitwear and/or sweaters Advanced proficiency in Adobe Suite – Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign Strong hand-sketching, CAD flats, and fashion illustration skills Keen eye for detail and trend-aware design with a passion for elevated, aspirational design POV Organized and methodical approach to managing a dynamic development calendar and deliverables Knowledge of textiles, garment construction/fit or raw materials and product production Experience assimilating product feedback and working in a product development environment Ability to work independently and build relationships to succeed in a team environment Ability to respond to business objectives with creative, cost-effective design solutions Work Arrangement & Compliance

This position may operate in a Hybrid/Flex for Your Day work arrangement based on Target’s needs; work onsite at Target HQ MN location and remotely as required by the role. Work duties must be performed within the country of the primary work location unless otherwise prescribed by Target.
