Overview
California Environmental Voters seeks a Campaign Manager/Senior Campaign Manager for a full-time, temporary position with a competitive salary of $65,000 - $95,000. The role involves managing statewide campaigns, collaborating with various teams, and building coalitions to support climate justice initiatives. The position allows for a hybrid work schedule: two days in the office and two days remote, with potential adjustments during peak periods.

Work Schedule:
Four Day Work Week: Two days in office, two days remote. However, there may be circumstances where a five-day work week is temporarily required (e.g., pressing deadlines or peak periods).
Responsibilities
Manage statewide campaign to hold corporate polluters accountable by passing the Affordable Insurance and Climate Recovery Act and other cutting-edge policies in CA Legislature
Oversee & execute strategic campaign decisions between Organizing, Policy Advocacy, and Communications teams
Collaborate with Deputy Campaigns Director, Policy Advocacy Director and the organization’s leadership to refine strategy and tactics
Coordinate communications internally and externally
Collaborate with communications team & contract communications’ firm to establish messaging and campaign assets
Work with policy advocacy team and contract lobbyists moving the bill through the legislature
Identify key targets & districts with organizing team and coordinate tactics to earn legislative support
Gather information and provide regular updates for the organization’s leadership on campaign status
Build and lead a broad coalition of support from across California with other Enviro groups, EJ Orgs, Labor, Local Electeds, Businesses, Community Leaders, etc. for the policy
Identify partner organizations & leaders in target legislative district and provide resources to support their capacity on the campaign
Set outcomes, devise tactics, and provide regular opportunities for coalition members to engage with and support campaign advocacy
Oversee budget and spending for the campaign
Work with attorneys and admin team to ensure proper compliance and reporting
Help identify additional resources for the campaign
Support other EnviroVoters’s campaign & organizing priorities when needed

Must Haves
Excellent project management skills including organization, internal communication, and deadline management
Experience managing and making strategic decisions in issue advocacy, electoral, and/or grassroots campaigns
Knowledge of California’s legislative process and political landscape
Strong collaboration and experience collaborating with consultants and external stakeholders
Managed budgets and ideally have fundraising experience
Administered and unified organization-based coalition efforts
Strong, clear, and effective communication
Ability to quickly identify challenges and develop innovative solutions in a fast-paced environment
Adaptable to change and able to adjust strategies in response to new information or unexpected developments
Ability to inspire and guide a team towards achieving campaign goals
Ability to think outside the box to develop unique and compelling campaign strategies
Strong commitment to racial, social, economic justice and equity
Strong commitment to solving the climate crisis
