Position Title:

Pacific Amphitheatre Backstage Representative

Rate of Pay:

$18.75 per hour

Position Purpose:

Provides static or mobile high visibility security for Pacific Amphitheatre (Pac Amp) backstage area and various non-public entrances. Also, to serve as a representative for the Entertainment Department to the business partners and the public. This is a seasonal position not to exceed 122 days.

Schedule OC Fair concert events will begin in May and potentially continue through September, with the majority of events scheduled in July and August. During the annual OC Fair (July 17 – August 16), concerts are held Wednesday through Sunday. Applicants are required to be fully available and commit to working all concerts during the OC Fair through the end of the concert season. Scheduling is based on the concert event schedule and is subject to change depending on the approved dates of our 2026 concert events.

Responsibilities

Provides high visibility security presence while regulating access to backstage, VIP and other non-public accessible areas.

Assures that only authorized persons in possession of the appropriate credentials are permitted to enter and remain present in specified areas.

Assure that all security screening equipment is present and functioning properly.

Works in conjunction with production, performer, security, law enforcement and other personnel to execute daily happenings and events in the area.

Assures that venue remain secure 24/7 and is accessed only by authorized persons when not open to the public.

Performs entry security screening (bag check, magnetic screening) on all persons entering the facility via non-public entry points.

Coordinates with OCFEC Security personnel and law enforcement as necessary.

Keeps Shift Supervisor up-to-date regarding location activities and generates reports as requested.

Qualifications

Must be at least 18 years of age.

Must be available to work at least one of the following shifts: day, swing, graveyard.

Ability to work outside the normal business day/week as demanded by events and programs.

Excellent customer service skills and experience handling security issues.

Demonstrated ability to effectively interact with management, guests, partners, VIPs and celebrities.

Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills.

Must be available to work the OC Fair Concert season (late June through September).

Preferences

Previous security screening or security inspection experience.

You must be at least 16 years old to work at the annual OC Fair. Some positions require candidates to be at least 18 years old.
