We are currently seeking a Business Development Specialist (BDS) to support our Florida Region. This role requires strong local presence to effectively serve both our agents and policyholders. The BDS will act as the central point of contact for our agency partners, driving growth, strengthening partnerships, and supporting underwriting efforts.

Key responsibilities:

Serve as the primary contact for agency partners and build strong relationships

Drive sales and growth of property and casualty products through independent agents

Acquire and retain profitable accounts in alignment with underwriting guidelines

Support underwriting with account selection and performance management

Collaborate with agents on strategic planning and business development initiatives

This position will be field-based located in the Tampa Bay area.

The salary range for this position is $83,080 - $127,945 annually. This salary range is an estimate and the actual salary will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Qualifications Experience Required

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; NOTE - Relevant, progressively responsible work experience may be substituted on a year for year basis for the required education

Four or more years of commercial, multi‑line, P&C marketing and underwriting experience

Excellent knowledge of the independent agency system, specifically the P&C marketplace

Superior underwriting technical experience

Experience developing new accounts in the Florida market preferred

Valid Driver’s license

Preferred

Industry designations, such as CIC, CPCU or other designations are desired but not required.
