Director of Surveillance (Horseshoe Bossier)
The Director of Surveillance is responsible and accountable for the overall operation of the Surveillance department to meet all gaming regulations and protect company assets.

Responsibilities
Develop and manage budgeting, planning, communication and implementation procedures for overall operation of the department.
Design and install CCTV and alarm system.
Develop staff by interviewing, hiring and evaluating employees.
Manage processes and programs to reduce and control loss of time injuries.
Implement procedures for protecting casino assets and internal controls to ensure the safety and security of employees and customers.
Review staffing levels to maintain budgeted levels of employment; delegate authority and assign responsibilities.
Review surveillance activities with the General Manager.
Meet with departmental directors and managers as necessary.
Plan, control, communicate and implement procedures and processes for the overall efficient operations of the department.
Ensure staff is trained and prepared to deliver the highest level of customer service to guests for a positive gaming and entertainment experience.
Ensure the safety and security of employees and customers; manage programs and processes to control and reduce loss of time injuries.
Assist and advise other departments and personnel to ensure the successful performance of the hotel and the company overall.
Control and facility processes to ensure proper head count and employee coverage in all operational departments; monitor FTEs, actual head count, and overtime.
Achieve departmental and individual performance goals and duties in a timely manner.
Demonstrate ability to understand, communicate and comply with company policies, processes, and procedures.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
Seven to ten years’ experience in security or surveillance in a large volume business or industry; 4-year degree in related fields or equivalent work experience preferred.
Must have or be able to obtain a valid Louisiana State Gaming License and Responsible Vendor card.
Ability to obtain and maintain any licenses, permits, insurance, or indemnifications necessary for the completion of duties and responsibilities.
Knowledge of all gaming laws and regulations.
Management abilities demonstrated in managing department and areas.
Public relations and customer service skills.
Oral and written communication skills.
Maintaining interpersonal working relationships among all personnel.
Timeliness and accuracy in performing assigned duties and responsibilities.
Ability to analyze and interpret departmental needs and results.
Ability to manage and resolve complex issues; able to work in a high stress environment.
Ability to perform assigned duties under frequent time pressures.
Broad variety of tasks and deadlines requires an irregular work schedule in an interruptive environment.
Ability to maintain strict confidentiality relative to financial data and casino policies.
Background and Screening As part of the onboarding process for new hires, candidates will be required to complete a background check. In addition, pre‑employment drug testing is mandatory for any role operating a motor vehicle, facilities and/or engineering, lifeguards, pilots, security and surveillance roles. Pre‑employment screenings will be completed prior to an offer being extended, except where applicable law requires that such pre‑employment screening may occur post‑offer.
