Lead People Strategy for a Mission-Driven Regional Healthcare System Val Verde Regional Medical Center (VVRMC) is seeking an experienced and strategic Human Resources Director to join our executive leadership team. This is a unique opportunity to shape workforce strategy, culture, and compliance for a community-focused, not-for-profit hospital serving Del Rio and the surrounding region.

In this role, you will serve as a trusted advisor to the CEO, executive leadership, and Board, guiding critical decisions that impact the organization’s most important asset—its people. Starting range is $98,000 DOE, with a comprehensive

Your Impact Strategic Leadership: - Lead and evolve HR strategy aligned with hospital mission - Serve as a key member of the executive team Compliance & Risk Management: - Ensure compliance with employment laws (FLSA, FMLA, ADA, EEOC, OSHA, HIPAA) - Oversee audits and investigations Employee Relations & Culture: - Lead employee relations and workplace investigations - Promote a respectful workplace culture Workforce Planning & Talent Strategy: - Oversee recruitment, onboarding, and retention - Support workforce planning and succession planning Compensation, Benefits & Performance: - Lead compensation strategy and benefits administration - Ensure performance management systems are effective Training & Organizational Development: - Guide leadership development and training initiatives Education & Experience: - Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred - 7–10+ years of progressive HR leadership experience Credentials: - SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR preferred Key Strengths: - Knowledge of employment law and healthcare HR - Strong leadership and decision-making skills - Ability to handle confidential matters with discretion Work Environment This is an on-site leadership role based in Del Rio, Texas. Flexibility to work extended or irregular hours may be required.
