About the Role
The Company is seeking an Executive Director for the state of New York. The successful candidate will be a key leader in the organization, responsible for all business aspects, including staff and volunteer training and development, and most importantly, for driving the mission of the organization. This role demands a passionate and urgent approach to enhancing the lives of those affected by kidney disease, with a focus on action, education, and accelerating change. The Executive Director will be accountable for fundraising, engaging with the community, and ensuring that program goals are met. They must have a proven track record in fundraising, sales, and relationship management, and be adept at working in a virtual environment.
Key responsibilities for the Executive Director include identifying and cultivating corporate sponsors, individual donors, and family foundations, as well as managing a portfolio of existing and new donors. The role also involves leading board development, fiscal oversight, and supporting program staff in the execution of professional, patient, and advocacy programs. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree, a minimum of 8 years' of fundraising experience in the nonprofit sector, and a strong background in volunteer and staff management. They should be proficient in planning, budgeting, and forecasting, and possess excellent communication, interpersonal, and managerial skills. The Executive Director will work closely with the Regional Vice President and other departments to ensure the growth and success of the organization, with a strong emphasis on diversity, inclusion, and equal opportunity.
