We are seeking a Director of Client Accounting to lead a growing team and oversee client accounting operations within a dynamic and expanding accounting firm. This role is ideal for a strong accounting leader who understands the pace and structure of a client-facing environment and can drive high-quality service delivery, team development, and operational efficiency.
What You’ll Do
Lead client accounting operations, including onboarding, service delivery, and ongoing client management Oversee the onboarding of new clients, ensuring a smooth transition and strong experience in the first 90 days Manage and develop a team of accounting professionals, including coaching, performance management, and career development Partner with internal teams, including sales, IT, and operations, to ensure seamless client integration and support Ensure accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting and deliverables across a portfolio of clients Drive process improvements to enhance efficiency, scalability, and consistency across the client accounting function Act as a strategic partner to leadership on client growth, team structure, and operational planning Manage multiple client engagements at once while maintaining high service standards Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting CPA or MBA preferred 8+ years of accounting experience 3+ years of nonprofit accounting experience required Prior experience in a client-facing or outsourced accounting environment preferred Proven leadership experience managing and developing accounting teams Strong judgment and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment What’s in it for You
