Assistant/Senior Assistant/Associate Director, Undergraduate Admission
Responsibilities
Manage assigned territory through outreach to high schools, prospective students/families, and alumni. Outreach includes seasonal travel to approximately 75 high schools within assigned recruitment territories (both domestically and internationally) to represent the University to prospective students and counselors. Territory management may also require speaking at evening programs, coordinating meetings with alumni, leading admission-based workshops, and attending professional conferences.
Review applications for admission. Annually review and manage approximately 1,800–1,900 first‑year applications between mid‑October and mid‑March. Evening and weekend work will be necessary at times.
Conduct information sessions both on and off campus. Assist in the general hospitality service of all admission guests visiting Boston College.
Experience with recruitment and enrollment with a wide range of student populations and undergraduate recruitment programs is desired.
Positions will include a number of responsibilities with a specific need for candidates with international recruitment experience in the Far East and India and/or experience or interest in campus programming, event planning, and yield management.
Technical and project management experience in Slate CRM is desired.
Additional job‑related duties within the Office of Undergraduate Admission to include phone coverage, open house programs, meeting/committees, mentoring current students, and additional responsibilities as assigned.
Salary and Titles
Associate Director: $72,450 – $90,550 (5+ years related professional experience)
Senior Assistant Director: $65,550 – $81,950 (3–5 years related professional experience)
Assistant Director: $59,400 – $74,250 (1–3 years experience)
Minimum Requirements At a minimum, a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
Enthusiasm for representing Boston College to prospective students, families, and college/school counselors.
Commitment to recruiting, enrolling, retaining, mentoring, and engaging with students from a wide range of backgrounds.
Ability to effectively communicate Boston College's distinctive mission as a Catholic, Jesuit university.
Excellent time management and communication skills, with particular strengths in public speaking and writing.
At least two years of previous admission experience or comparable work experience in higher education or another related profession is preferred.
