Your Responsibilities
Concept, design, and model custom parts, assemblies, and create fabrication prints that will be used to manufacture fixtures and/or gauges for our production machining and assembly operations.
Collaborate with a diverse group of team members and stakeholders in a fast-paced environment to create safe, ergonomic, high-quality, and effective designs and print packages that can be fabricated with standard machine tools and/or additive manufacturing.
What Skills You Need
1+ year of experience with current or a recent release of one or more of the following: Creo, SolidWorks, or Inventor, using the software to design and fully detail custom tools, fixtures, and/or gauges to build production intent tooling.
Able to work from written and verbal work direction.
Proficient specifying component raw materials and heat treat/surface finish based on tool application.
Proficient selecting/sizing/specifying purchased items for designs based on tool application.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficient using MS Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Ability to work overtime, weekends, and off-shift based on business needs.
What Makes You Stand Out
Experience designing custom fixtures or gauges for the agriculture industry.
Working knowledge of pneumatics and hydraulics with ability to create schematics and perform calculations to size/specify components.
PDM (Product Data Management) Link experience.
Ability to perform basic stress/deflection calculations to validate projects, and/or FEA experience with tools that were/would be built.
Prioritizing skills and experiences from most important to least.
Leading a team.
SAP experience.
Education
Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Technology discipline.
