Director of Quality Assurance & Staff Development
Full-Time | Exempt | Leadership Role
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Director of Quality Assurance & Staff Development to lead the facility’s Quality Assessment and Assurance (QAA/QAPI) program and oversee staff education and development. This role is critical to regulatory compliance, survey readiness, risk reduction, and continuous improvement across all departments.
This position is ideal for a healthcare leader who is analytical, organized, and committed to building strong systems and well-trained teams.
Responsibilities
Plan, develop, and direct the facility’s Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) program
Chair and lead the Quality Assessment & Assurance Committee
Track, analyze, and trend quality indicators, audits, incidents, and outcomes
Develop and implement corrective action plans for identified deficiencies
Support survey readiness, surveys, and plans of correction
Coordinate and oversee staff education, orientation, and ongoing in-service training
Maintain training records and compliance documentation
Partner with leadership to identify risk areas and improvement opportunities
Assist with policy review, regulatory updates, and compliance monitoring
Participate in facility surveys, audits, and inspections
Prepare and present written and verbal quality reports to Administration
Qualifications
Licensed RN preferred or equivalent healthcare leadership experience
Prior quality assurance, staff development, or regulatory experience preferred
Strong knowledge of long-term care regulations and survey processes
Excellent analytical, organizational, and documentation skills
Ability to lead committees, training programs, and performance improvement initiatives
Strong communication skills and attention to detail
Physical Requirements
Office and facility-based work
Standing, walking, and moving throughout the facility as needed
Exposure to clinical environments and healthcare settings
