Overview
We’re looking for a local Account Executive based in Bloomington to drive innovative outdoor advertising campaigns for brands across Bloomington‑Normal and Peoria.
What We Offer
Monday‑Friday, 8:00 am–5:00 pm schedule with paid holidays and a mix of in‑office and field work
First‑year earning potential of $70,000–$80,000 (incl. commissions) with no commission cap

Responsibilities
Meet and exceed sales targets; monitor personal sales data and reports
Target businesses in Bloomington/Peoria markets and visit existing Lamar clients as well as competitors’ clients within specified times
Showworking knowledge of local and national competition and cluster accounts to work efficiently
Use Lamar tools to locate prospects, follow up leads, prepare proposals and presentations
Develop presentation skills and new product knowledge
Represent Lamar at sales meetings, regional meetings, seminars, and trade shows
Perform administrative duties, including:
Maintaining daily, weekly, and monthly sales plans (planned a month ahead)
Following up on client production orders and problem‑solving issues
Maintaining organized, up‑to‑date client records
Qualifications
Comfort making cold calls both over the phone and in person
Ability to give oral presentations and clearly articulate policies and procedures
Respect and communicate with diverse audiences
Motivation to learn new technology and systems
Strong time‑management and self‑organization skills
Drive to sell outdoor advertising benefits to businesses
Professional verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work effectively under fluctuating workloads
Strong networking and trust‑building capabilities
Track record of meeting sales quotas and applying general sales techniques
Self‑motivation and resilience in the face of rejection
Education & Experience
Current, valid driver’s license required
College degree preferred
Previous outdoor advertising sales experience preferred
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
CRM experience preferred
Physical Demands & Work Environment
Combination of office and field work, including sales calls and account servicing
Light lifting, visual acuity tasks, less than 50% sitting, standing, talking, turning and walking
Night travel away from home less than 10%
