Commercial Lines Marketing Account Executive

McGriff, a division of Marsh McLennan Agency (MMA), offers business insurance, employee health & benefits, retirement, and private client insurance solutions across a network of 200 offices in North America. A day in the life As our Marketing Account Executive on the Commercial Lines team, you'll lead and coordinate marketing activities on new and renewal business as well as support Producers in sales activities. You will serve as a consultative point of contact for clients, identify and understand client needs, provide recommendations with supporting rationale with limited or no oversight from the Producer, demonstrate strong negotiation skills, respond to Requests for Proposals, participate in prospect meetings, direct and lead mid‑year reviews, work with national leadership to drive LOB strategy and initiatives, and lead, mentor and train other account service team members. Qualifications and Experience Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and/or related experience Six years of commercial insurance industry experience Property and casualty insurance license Considerable knowledge of markets, policies and coverage issues for all states and industries serviced Organizational skills to plan and prioritize team workload, and to oversee application of work flows and procedures Leadership skills and service and team orientation to provide direction, praise, constructive feedback, and development to employees in a way that maximizes productivity and team morale Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build and maintain positive business relationships with clients, market contacts, and McGriff teammates Strong persuasion skills and tact to obtain information, negotiate with markets, obtain commitment or payments due from others, and motivate staff Discretion and problem‑solving skills to analyze client information, proposal competitiveness, etc., and to resolve client, market and employee relations problems Demonstrated proficiency in basic computer applications such as Microsoft Office Suite Ability to travel overnight Additional qualifications are a plus, but not required to apply: Advanced degree(s) Insurance industry certifications in addition to necessary license Significant prior experience leading teams and/or projects Benefits Generous time off, including personal and volunteering Tuition reimbursement and professional development opportunities Hybrid Work Charitable contribution match programs Stock purchase opportunities Marsh McLennan and its affiliates are EOE Minority/Female/Disability/Vet/Sexual Orientation/Gender Identity employers. #J-18808-Ljbffr
