Junior Marketing Manager
Court 16, New York, NY, United States
About Court 16
Court 16 is a premier tennis and pickleball facility with 6 locations across the East Coast — New York City, Yonkers, Philadelphia, and Boston. Our mission is to offer a unique and holistic tennis and pickleball experience to players of all ages, abilities, and backgrounds in a safe, inclusive environment. At our core is a dedication to sportsmanship, discipline, and community — on and off the court. We are a fast‑moving, lean team that values ownership, initiative, and people who get things done.
The Role We are looking for a driven and detail‑oriented Junior Marketing Manager to join our marketing team. This is an execution‑focused role with real ownership from day one — you will manage our email marketing across all 6 clubs, run our Meta Ads campaigns, serve as the day‑to‑day contact for our Google Ads agency, and play a key role in bringing our campaigns and seasonal promotions to life. This role offers the opportunity to shape and implement marketing initiatives that directly impact the success of our tennis clubs, while fostering a culture of accountability and improvement across teams. If you are organized, a strong writer, comfortable with paid media, and excited about working in the sports and wellness space, we want to hear from you.
Core Responsibilities Email Marketing
Write, build, and send all marketing email campaigns across all clubs
Manage the full email calendar in HubSpot — planning, segmentation, scheduling, and reporting
Monitor email performance (open rate, CTR, conversions) and share weekly insights
Ensure all communications are on‑brand, well‑written, and relevant to each club’s audience
Collaborate weekly with our business analyst to identify and prioritize key inventory and offerings for email campaigns
Campaign Execution
Execute seasonal campaigns, new program launches, and promotional pushes across email and paid channels
Coordinate with the Graphic Designer to brief and deliver campaign creative assets on time
Liaise with our Social Media agency on weekly content calendar reviews and feedback
Website & Local Listings
Handle routine website content updates — promotional banners, class schedules, event pages
Maintain and update Google My Business, Yelp, and Apple Maps listings across all clubs
Support local SEO efforts through regular profile updates, photo uploads, and review monitoring
Paid Media
Own Meta Ads (Facebook and Instagram) — campaign setup, optimization, and performance reporting
Serve as the day‑to‑day liaison with our Google Ads agency — relay briefs, review performance reports, flag issues, and ensure campaigns align with our goals
Track paid media KPIs weekly and surface actionable recommendations
Reporting & Administration
Produce quarterly performance reports covering email, paid media, and local listings
Support partnership materials and event execution as needed
Profile We Are Looking For If you don’t tick every box but feel strongly that you’d be a great fit for this role and our team, we’d still love to hear from you!
Must‑haves
1 to 3 years of experience in a marketing role
Strong copywriting skills — you can write a compelling marketing email from a brief with minimal edits
Hands‑on experience with email marketing platforms (HubSpot, Mailchimp, Klaviyo, or equivalent)
Experience running Meta Ads campaigns independently
Comfortable managing external agency relationships and holding them accountable
Highly organized — able to juggle multiple workstreams across locations without dropping the ball
Basic analytics skills — you can read performance data, draw conclusions, and act on them
Self‑directed and proactive — you don’t wait to be told what needs doing
Nice to have
Familiarity with Google Ads (even if an agency handles execution, understanding the platform matters)
Experience with HubSpot specifically
Background in sports, fitness, hospitality, or a similarly community‑driven industry
Experience briefing designers and working within a creative production workflow
What We Offer
A role with real ownership and direct impact across locations
A lean, collaborative team where your work is visible and valued
Exposure to a broad range of marketing disciplines — email, paid media, content, partnerships, and events
A fast‑moving environment where no two weeks look the same
Opportunity to grow within the team as the company expands
Court 16 is an equal opportunity employer. We celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees.
