Ironmark Building Co. is looking for a commercial construction Estimator to join our team in the Phoenix area! Calculate accurate labor, equipment, and material costs for wood frame and other commercial construction projects and remodels Review drawings and specifications to determine quantities and calculate pricing Coordinate subcontractor bids, including bid invitations, reviewing bids for scope and pricing, scheduling site visits, acquiring best pricing from subcontractors and suppliers, and developing bid presentations Communicate with the low bidder for final overview and ensure bid completeness Develop and maintain positive communication with subcontractors and suppliers, including researching and qualifying new subcontractors and suppliers, and maintaining lists of preferred subcontractors and suppliers to present to clients Participate in pre-bid meetings, as necessary Prepare project documents, material release schedules, client information, project schedules, and other documentation to assure a steady information flow to Project Managers Present to Owner and Architects as needed Requirements
2+ years of related estimating experience on commercial construction projects, both public and private bidding Experience with hard bids Passion for commercial construction Knowledgeable in wood frame construction Ability to read, analyze, and interpret plans and specifications relative to the scope of work and schedule Ability to read plans and perform material takeoffs and estimates Ability to meet bid deadlines Proficient in Excel and On-screen Takeoff or comparable Ability to communicate with other professional contractors A degree and/or certification in Estimating, Construction Management, and/or Architecture is strongly preferred What You\'ll Get
