Business Development & Specifications Specialist Job Category : Sales Architect Reps Requisition Number : BUSIN002065 Posted: April 8, 2026 Full-Time Locations Showing 1 location Remote Arizona 4180 e Marshall Ave Gilbert, AZ 85297, USA This position is responsible for developing Roppe sales through product specifications. Their focus will be on developing project sales & specifications through A&D (Architectural and Design) Community, end user and national purchasing programs. This role will also include a secondary responsibility for developing and managing a Top 20 Flooring contractor network in Arizona Market. Responsible for customers within the territory of Arizona. Responsibilities: Manage product specifications and product sales. Initiate sales process through prospecting. Understand the needs of architect’s, specifiers and designers needs through informational meetings, response to inquiries and requests for service. Target active A&D firms, End Users, and planning stage projects. Schedule monthly sales calls and presentations Conduct product knowledge meetings Maintain Merchandising aids and samples. Membership, participation, and support, of local Chapters (IIDA, AIA, CSI, etc..), Product Shows/Events to increase and support architect/specifier relationships. Coordinate efforts with Roppe sales team to ensure that sales efforts are supported, generation of contractor bid opportunities, and submittals. Provide support at national/regional and other assigned Trade Shows Generate project and product installation reference portfolios Achieve and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales plans/quotas. Track sales activity and project specifications in CRM program. Manage account responsibility distribution Conduct monthly review of projects/product specifications – active quotations/contracts Participate in distributor functions. Work with distributor A&D Sales personnel and train Other duties as assigned Essential Functions: Ability to travel extensively. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required. Detailed oriented, good with basic math and able to work in team environment required. Experience in computer applications. Ability to work without supervision and to make appropriate decisions. Ability to process work with accuracy and to perform multiple tasks simultaneously. Ability to work in a stationary position in usually an office environment. Physical activity includes sitting, walking on plant floor, talking, hearing, handling, reaching, and feeling. Ability to work with office equipment including but not limited to computers, printers, copiers, calculators, and telephones. Must dress professionally and appropriately. Education, Experience, and Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED equivalent required. Bachelor’s degree in Business/Sales or related field preferred. 3 years of fulltime commercial selling experience preferred. 3 years experience with their own Commercial Specification accounts preferred. Experience with Specifier Customers; A/D or End User preferred. Must reside in California or be willing to relocate.
