Job Description This role will be based in La Caisse’s New York City office.

As an Intern, you will assist the teams in charge of managing La Caisse’s U.S. real estate portfolio. You will contribute to active asset management and investment analysis with the objective, among other things, of enhancing portfolio performance, supporting value creation initiatives, and maximizing long-term investment returns.

What You Will Do

Work closely with analysts and senior team members to actively manage La Caisse’s U.S. real estate portfolio.

Assist in monitoring business plans, including analysis of operating performance and budgets.

Help to prepare, review and analyze annual operating budgets.

Analyze projected returns, operating metrics, and capital plans to support asset management decisions.

Review and analyze property appraisal reports.

Review quarterly reports prepared by operating partners and synthesize key insights.

Help to prepare concise, data-driven presentations for Senior Management.

Support the investment team in evaluating new and existing U.S. real estate investments.

Review the financial models and assess cash flow projections and return metrics.

Validate underwriting assumptions and benchmark them against market data, including internal appraisal reports and recent comparable transactions.

Prepare sensitivity analyses on key assumptions.

Assist with investment due diligence, including financial, market and risk analyses.

Contribute to drafting investment memoranda and recommendations.

Support analysts in preparing portfolio-level reporting and market intelligence reports.

Enter and maintain data for new transactions and portfolio assets into the financial management system.

What You Bring To The Role

Undergraduate or graduate-level studies in finance, accounting, real estate, or any other relevant program.

Interest in the real estate sector.

Proficient in the MS Office suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.

English proficiency is required.
