Patient Collections Specialist (on-site)

Pacific Medical, Inc. is seeking two full‑time Patient Collections Specialists for our Tracy, CA office.
The position is on‑site and available immediately.
Each candidate will work Monday‑Friday, 8:00 am‑5:00 pm.
Job Responsibilities
Contact patients/guarantors to secure payment for services provided based on an aging report with balances.
Contact patients when credit‑card payments are declined.
Follow up on refund requests.
Document all calls and the actions taken in the appropriate system and set the next work date if follow‑up is needed.
Confirm or update patient/guarantor insurance and patient demographics information; make appropriate changes and submit or resubmit claims as indicated.
Establish payment arrangements with patients/guarantors and follow up on all payment arrangement plans implemented.
Document all patient complaints or disputes and forward them to the appropriate person for follow‑up.
Perform other duties as needed.
Qualifications and Skills
Excellent interpersonal communication, customer service, and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Strong organizational skills.
Strong attention to detail and follow‑through skills.
Required Qualifications
High school graduate or equivalent.
Typing speed of 25‑45 words per minute.
Compensation and Benefits
Hourly rate: $17.00–$19.00.
Annual range: $35,360–$39,520.
Bonus opportunities: Team bonus up to $500 per month and profit bonus up to $500 per month.
Estimated total annual compensation: base pay $41,735 with 5 hrs O/T per week, plus bonuses after 3 months; mid‑range $54,315; top range $57,895.
