Senior Commercial Lines Underwriter (E&S)
Job Summary Seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Commercial Lines Underwriter (E&S) to join a dynamic and growing team. This is a senior-level production role that offers the opportunity to build and scale a significant book of business while mentoring junior staff and driving higher-level production within the office. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial lines underwriting, particularly in the Excess & Surplus (E&S) market, and a proven ability to manage complex risks. This role provides access to deep E&S markets, strong carrier relationships, and a flexible hybrid work environment.
Compensation Package
Base Salary Range : $115,000 – $150,000
Bonus : Sales incentive bonus plan

Responsibilities
Build, maintain, and grow a personal book of business.
Serve as the lead contact for agency partners and key relationships.
Underwrite, rate, quote, and bind complex new and renewal business.
Execute marketing strategies to drive production and retention.
Submit and manage underwriting referrals to brokerage facilities and leadership.
Track and manage key performance metrics, including hit ratio, retention, growth, and loss ratio.
Lead, train, and mentor assistant and associate underwriters.
Qualifications/Requirements
Licenses/Designations :
Property & Casualty (P&C) license preferred.
CPCU, CIC, or similar professional designations preferred.
Experience :
Minimum of 3+ years of commercial lines underwriting or brokerage experience.
Strong preference for candidates with E&S experience.
Lines of Business :
Expertise in commercial lines, particularly complex, middle-market, and E&S risks.
Technical Skills :
Proficiency in standard agency management systems.
Personal Attributes :
Strong relationship-building and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
